When connecting the pressure line to the compressor, air spring, valve block, or air spring strut, it is important to use a connector that is 100% intact. The connector contains a sensitive seal that must be free of contamination and in good condition to ensure that the connection is tight.
The compression ring can only lock the pressure line in place if it has not been broken or spread apart. This can easily happen when removing the old pressure line.
The O-ring keeps the connection between the components and the pressure line tight.
