Valve blocks
A leaky air suspension is not always caused by a defective air spring. The fault can often be found in a valve block. Possible causes could be valves inside the valve block that have corroded due to moisture, or defective compressed air connections.
The valve block, or more precisely the solenoid valve block (e.g. at13942, OE comparison number 4H0 616 013), is responsible for distributing compressed air in the air suspension system.
Vehicles with air suspension installed on both axles have a solenoid valve block with 6 connections:
1x for the compressor,
4x for the air springs and air struts,
1x for the pressure accumulator.
Connections
All connections on the at autoteile germany valve block (e.g. at11338, OE comparison number 212 320 03 58) are color-coded and labeled to prevent incorrect connections.
The individual valves are controlled by the electronic control module ECU (Electronic Control Unit) or ECM (Electronic Control Module) (at13367, OE comparison number 37 14 6 860 385).
